We strive to empower our youth through Biblical teachings and community fellowship. We hold weekly meetings where youth, grades 6th - 12th, can learn about God, engage in community, and have fun!
Our mission for the youth ministry here at First UMC McAllen is for them to graduate knowing three things:
- Trust GOD no matter what
- Make the wise choice and put God first ALWAYS
- Treat others the way they want to be treated - with love and compassion

Wednesday Gathering
Every Wednesday evening, we gather to enjoy fellowship — chatting, crafting, drawing, playing ping-pong — eating pizza together, and engaging in a thoughtful Bible study.

Sunday Mornings
1st Day Youth
All youth (6th-12th grade) are welcome to join us for Sunday Youth Class during the 10am Common Hour in the Koinonia Room in the South Building. It is a time of fun, fellowship, Bible study, outreach, and mission projects. If you have any questions, contact Wayne Johnson at .
Other Opportunities on Sundays:
- Serve as a helper with the J.A.M. children's program in the Koinonia Room (contact Andrea)
- Help with outreach ministry at the Hands and Feet activity, usually in the West Overflow Room off the Sanctuary
